What makes you different?
I have played rugby for most of my life and therefore I have a great understanding of the game and have a real passion for it. I consider myself a natural athlete having represented my high school in many different sports including athletics, cricket, soccer and basketball. I am very attentive to the instructions of coaches and always keen to learn. I understand core team values but can also cope individually under pressure.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I went on a rugby tour to America in 2016 and played against four different high schools. This gave me an insight into the standard of rugby played in the US, as well as an appreciation of the culture. Knowing that college rugby will be a step up excites me because I know I will be challenged to be the best player I can be in order to compete with the top players in the country. Sport is obviously a major part of college life and I relish the opportunity to be a part of it.
What are your college goals?
The main goal is to leave college having successfully achieved a degree that I am proud of and to have challenged myself academically. I also want to be able to make a name for myself on the field and leave college feeling accomplished with what I have achieved results wise. I want to get involved in as much as possible whilst trying to learn and develop as a person and leave having given it my all.
What are your rugby goals?
I want to have many successful seasons of rugby playing against the top colleges and potentially competing in the National Championship. I then want to be able to take what I have learned and have improved upon and continue playing post college whether that is in the US or elsewhere.
