Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
Resilient, competitive, focused, considerate, determined.
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
Selection emails, placing and new PB’s are great memories but my best memory to date has to be when together we won our first match in the SCA U18 European Championships. It was a mental and physical battle, nerves and excitement had been building when we were at match point. When the final whistle blew together we knew we had persevered and overcome! The whole team as one running onto the court to celebrate together is something I will never forget.
Goals:
From the moment I started playing volleyball it has been a dream of mine to compete and proudly represent my university in America. The competitiveness, size, understanding, growth and team atmosphere of the sport in the States is something that I won’t be able to experience here. Watching other teams and following their successes has only made me more motivated to make this dream a reality, knowing it will give me the best possible learning platform to shape me as I grow into a stronger, successful and committed athlete.
Anything else we should know?
I am passionate about promoting Sport for all, regardless of physical, cognitive, social and language challenges. I coach Junior volleyball, volunteer with Sport Disability Northern Ireland, All Nations Ministries (among refugee communities) and have completed my Level 1 Swim Teacher Theory and am taking my NPLQ over the Summer.
