Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
tenacious, loyal, competitive, courageous, hungry
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
I went on a tour to Greece with my South African team for three weeks, and it was really fun to compete against other countries such as Switzerland and Greece. I won silver in the 800m free and gold in the 200m free. This experience ignited my interest in becoming an international athlete and competing further afield.
Goals:
To leverage my natural talent and the opportunities I have been given and to become the best swimmer and team member that I can be.
Anything else we should know?
I moved to the UK in 2018 from South Africa so I know how to adapt to different training experiences. I have learned how to become part of a team very quickly. I have also faced a number of physical obstacles, including a hip operation when I was 12. These challenges, combined with the hard work I have had to put into my recovery, have taught me how to persevere and keep moving forward even when times are tough.
