Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
focused, driven, likable, ambitious, positive
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
Early on in 2020 I broke my foot quite badly and my hopes for the season began to fade quickly. After nine weeks out of running, I was able to do some light jogging. With the help from my coach I gradually build my fitness back up and In October of 2020 I ran a solo time trial in the 800m and finished in 1:58.90, which was nine seconds better than my personal best the year before. This span of five months proved that I can achieve what I put my mind to regardless of setbacks. One of the last conversations I ever had with my coach was him telling me how much more there is to come from me as an athlete!
Goals:
One of my goals is to take my athletic career as far as possible whilst still holding a passion for it. My goal is to run to the best of my ability and one day win medals for my country.
Anything else we should know?
After breaking my foot earlier this year, I decided to focus solely on running and stopped participating in the other sports I practiced. This allowed me to increase my mileage and the amount I trained and decrease the chance of more injuries like when I broke my foot. As much as I did enjoy football and parkour, athletics is my true passion and after dropping the other two sports I made vast improvements and I saw change in me as an athlete like never before. I look forward to the 2021 season where I will continue to prove this.
