Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
confident, motivated, ambitious, passionate, honest
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
My greatest athletic memory came in my first competition back after the first national lockdown when I competed in the South of Englands. I had a strong training schedule throughout lockdown and was raring to go. Getting split into two separate pools in the long jump, I had to follow up on the current second UK lead jump that was set minutes before me to give me any hope of winning. I followed this up giving me the longest jump in the UK that year for the Under 17 category and with that winning the South of Englands. After getting home and checking my results for that day, I realized that I had been given my first World Ranking, which I was so proud of and which made this experience even more thrilling.
Goals:
My immediate goal is to secure a position at a successful college where I can continue to grow my athletic ability and improve myself both personally and professionally. I am very ambitious and love challenges as well as looking forward to opportunities where I can improve myself in any way possible. Ultimately, I would like to take my athletic career globally with a focus on qualifying for major events such as the European Championships or the Olympics. This will help me with a longterm position where I can also build a solid career and help future athletes. Right now, I am focusing on improving my form for the possible summer season through continuing extensive training during the lockdown. While I am very happy in seeking these goals for my future, as a member of a college team I look forward to an opportunity in taking these goals further.
Anything else we should know?
I also enjoy coaching younger athletes and being a leader that can help others. I therefore look forward to being part of a college team in the US, as it will allow me to flourish as a leader and really help my team reaching its goals!
