Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
Committed, hard working, team player, confident, supportive.
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
My best memory of my athletic career is making 3 national finals at 16 years old in 200, 100 and 50 breaststroke at the British Summer Championships. I then proceeded to drop my time for another pb in all my event from heats to final. This is one of my best memories as it was deserved after the season that i have had worked my hardest and gone through my GCSEs. The stress and barriers in that season didn’t stop me performing on a major stage.
Goals:
My goals in swimming are reaching my full potential within my ability, this includes training at my best and creating lifelong friends along the way that also are there to push me and achieve their own dreams. I want to inspire the younger generation to become the best they can through swimming and to teach them key qualities. My academic goals are to get top grades within my course. As with my swimming I also want to teach younger generations about opportunities that may be available so that they can develop as a person.
Anything else we should know?
I use my limited spare time to teach younger people how to swim and stay safe in the water in my local pool. I also coach swimmers that are up and coming within my club to better themselves and reach their maximum capability. I tutor maths after school hours and create lessons to get full potential out of them. Within school, I am a senior prefect with a lead in the Year 8 (7th Grade) team and mentor 3 students through non-academic struggles.
