Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
Although it wasn’t against the strongest field, my favorite golfing memory would be winning my local club’s 5-day competition. I the final I was 4 under in the match and won 1up on the 18th against a player with a plus 2 handicap who had won this tournament five times already and who had also represented Scotland on several occasions. I loved the experience even more because there were about 80 people following our match and I really enjoyed playing in front of a large audience like that. It really testes my nerves and I was able to handle the pressure very well.
Goals:
To turn professional and to make a living from the game I love
Anything else we should know?
When I was 14, I moved from Leeds in Yorkshire up to the north of Scotland. This was a big change in lifestyle that I coped well with. I am glad it took place because I think it allowed me to focus more on my golf with the opportunities that golf in Scotland has to offer. Because of that experience, I believe that I will be very well prepared for my move to America.
