Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
It’s hard to pick a favorite moment in my golf career because every tournament is a new challenge and a new experience that I’m grateful for. Perhaps one of my favorite moments came in 2022 when I had my first bogey free game. I was in Romania for their open championship and the first day I played very bad at +7. I was a little depressed and in the evening I couldn’t sleep because of it. Around midnight I went to the range to hit some balls. The next day I played much better, at -1, but I was still not satisfied because I was in the 5th position and I really wanted to finish in the top 3, so in the evening I went to the range again (evenings in Romania are very nice and cool in the summer and that night I remember it beautifully, it was dark and quiet, I was alone and only the crickets in the grass and the sound of my blows could be heard, it was an unforgettable night) I sat on the range until about 2-3 in the morning and did not want to go home. The next day I played -3 bogey free with the hardest par I have ever made on the last hole which was a par 6. The moment the ball went into the hole on the 18th hole I knew what was happening, my best friend sitting nearby started to applaud me and I felt real happiness and pleasure, I was proud of myself. That was also the moment when I realized that hard work and persistence always pay off.
Goals:
Golf has given me a lot, and I want to return the gesture and be able to contribute to golf in the world and in Bulgaria. I wish one day to make it to the big stage, namely the PGA Tour.
Anything else we should know?
I trained for 7 years of swimming, 4 years of professional skiing, 1 year of taekwondo, 1 year of karate, and besides golf I am very passionate about fitness.
